The heading says it all - I had a toe operation, and wanted shoes with protective steel caps while I healed. These are the ones, and they are quite light and comfortable, considering the strength built in into them. They give me the confidence to go into any situation knowing that my toe is protected.
Fits perfectly - I usually buy a size bigger than shoes. Even lighter than my last ones.If you have broad feet, then these are the ones for you at a great price.

These are important to me. However, I took the dog for a walk in the rain and my feet were wet and cold so not so sure about weather tight. (wet may have seeped in over the top)
These boots have been comfortable for a number of walks so far and will probably give good service for a number of years. They look good and Karrimor has always been considered a reliable brand. Be aware that they don't claim to be waterproof - there is no Goretex. They say they'll keep you dry 'in wet grass'. OK. So why only 3 stars? The first time they were put on and the laces drawn up, the top hook, made of metal, broke. It snapped clean off. Great start! I tried the larger full calf rigid supports and just found them too painful and restrictive to sleep in. This one is comfortable and flexible so can move freely in the night without too much discomfort. Has really helped with the pain in the mornings and minimized the calf cramps.

I'm size 11.5-12.5 so I normally buy 12s which are slightly too large or 11.5s which tend to be long enough but too narrow.I ordered these Vans in 12 but 13s arrived: they're a perfect fit width-wise and I've 1cm spare in front of my big toe, which is about normal when I buy 12s - maybe they are just labelled incorrectly?It feels like there are instep supports.I'd never heard of the brand before but needed this shade of red shoes and the photo is accurate colour-wise.The treads are impressive and seem to grip to laminate flooring and floor tiles incredibly well, although I haven't yet tested this at speed on these or any other surfaces.The most significant thing about these Vans is the feeling of immense comfort they bring, and I shall definitely buy this brand again.Note, though, that www.jameaalkauthar.co.uk

When checking, they did not have my size so I requested to be contacted when a 6 was in stock - and to my utter surprise, I got a personal email to say they were in stock. If you're in need of an irreverent outrageouhs the sole was coming off the right shoe. I checked the reviews here and found a few people with the same problem, but they said they'd been given the run around by Amazon and Merrell – each saying it was the other's responsibility. It didn't seem worth complaining.After 8 months the sole started coming off the left shoe. By 10 months they had pretty much disintegrated and were becoming dangerous to walk in. By 11 months I decided to call Amazon anyway and, without quibble, they agreed to refund me and arranged for the shoes to be collected. Three cheers for Amazon!What really annoys me is that the cheap trainers I used to buy would last 2-3 years. I still have the previous pair and they look newer than the Merrells! The Merrells looked old by six months and I had stopped wearing them in public. The soft felt-type material on the outside started wearing off alarmingly quic vivienne westwood bags hoes as comfortable as these.Shops selling these kind of hiking shoes litter the industrial estates and town centres of the land, but every time I have walked into one and asked for a pair size 11 or 12 or 13 (depending on the manufacturer) or anything that might fit they never have my size.The usual reply is 'would you like to try on this pair of size 10's?'Many manufacturers don't even go up to the sizes that Merrell do and in my opinion they are missing a huge opportunity as there are a lot of big footed men about.I took a chance with these, and they were the perfect fit. They were so comfortable I went and bought a pair of boots for the winter as well. They fit perfectly too.You should note that the shoes and boots in size 13 are also a generous width fitting, no blisters no aches and no pains.Just remember this before you go out and treat your feet, shoes should not need to be broken in, that is a fallacy. If you need to break them in and go through a pain barrier then they are the wrong size or made of less than perfect materials. These shoes and the boots I bought went on and were as comfortable as a pair Hollister uk and would recommend
My daughter had these same shoes last year and insisted on having them again this year.They saw her through the whole school year and are very comfortable.They look nice and are easy to clean,My daughter is dainty so these shoes are perfect for her- not at all clumpy!
Geox shoes for 20 quid - fabulous! I bought these as school schools for my daughter. They are a bit more substantial than most ballet type shoes so an excellent mother/daughter compromise. Lovely quality, very comfortable and everyone happy. Thank you!
